Prepare, my fellow book lovers, because you’re going to want to grab Too Many Heroes right now and read it. You’re going to be missing out on a truly captivating thriller. Set during WWII, I was immersed into the world. I haven’t read many period thrillers, but I’m loving this one.
Jan Turk Petrie’s writing is poetic. Her use of language and just enough description to simulate our minds but not bore us to tears was fantastic. This is one of those books you pick up when you have time to read, because it doesn’t let you set it down. I tried…I had to pick it up immediately to continue on.
Just take my word for it, Too Many Heroes has everything you’re looking for in your next read. Compelling characters, an immersive world, and a thrill ride you won’t want to get off of, you’re probably going to want to move this to the top of your TBR. In my favorites of 2019 and highly recommended!

The author Jan Turk Petrie lives in the Cotswolds, S.W. England.She is the author of the fast paced Nordic thriller series: the Eldísvík novels.
