Hi everyone!

Today is my stop on the blog tour for Wolf Clash by Rachel M. Raithby! I’m really excited because not only am I reviewing this novella, but I’m reviewing the first 4 books in the series. Thanks to YA Bound Book Tours for my spot on the tour! Check out all my reviews and let me know if this is a series that interests you in the comments!

Book One Review
Winter Wolf (New Dawn #1) on Goodreads
Review:

I had a bit of nostalgia reading Winter Wolf because this is definitely a story I would have devoured in my teenage years. I think it’s great, and it’s really well written. Rachel M. Raithby has a great talent for writing interesting world-building and characters.

My criticism is that it’s a bit cliche. We have the story of a normal teenager who finds out about the hidden supernatural world and falls in love with a mysterious hottie. This is only a slight criticism, really, because I enjoyed reading this still! Sometimes it’s enjoyable to read the cliche things and not take it so seriously. I just immersed myself in the story and pretended I was part of the world, and it was very fun to read this.

I haven’t read a shifter-romance in quite a while, and I’m glad I was able to start back into it with Winter Wolf. I have a feeling the story will develop more as the series continues and I’m really looking forward to reading more!

Rating:

3.5 (rounded to 4 on Goodreads/Amazon)/5☆

Book Two Review
Wolf Dancer (New Dawn #2) on Goodreads
Review:

As I thought, Wolf Dancer was more enjoyable than Winter Wolf for me. I think with a series like this, it takes some time to get all the world-building flushed out, and I loved the choice to switch to Nico and Olivia as the main characters, while still seeing Bass and Kat.

I enjoyed getting to know more of these characters, and they are starting to feel more well-rounded. They are characters who I am really starting to care about and I am excited to see where their stories go.

Fans of PNR will devour this series. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this series progresses. It’s already gotten better, so I have a feeling it will continue to!

Rating:

3.8 (rounded to 4 on Goodreads & Amazon)/5☆

Book Three Review
Wolf Sight (New Dawn #3) on Goodreads
Review:

Awesome. Wolf Sight is the best book in the series so far. I’m really enjoying the idea of switching to different main couples for us to get to know different characters. I really enjoy the world-building becoming more in-depth as well.

Rachel M. Raithby has created some very compelling characters that feel very real. I have a lot of love for the characters that we’ve met already, and I really enjoyed getting to know the ones introduced in this book. The plot was fast-paced and entertaining the read through. This series has definitely improved and I’m happy to be reading it!

Definitely an entertaining read that I recommend checking out.

Rating:

4/5☆

Book 4 Review
Lost Wolf (New Dawn #4) on Goodreads
Review:

Lost Wolf is the best book in the series. Rachel M. Raithby has developed fantastic characters and a world that is really entertaining to read. I am glad I had the opportunity to read these books. They have been a great distraction from the world around me.

I think this is my favorite couple so far, with the most realistic relationship. This plot kept me glued to the pages, and I read this in one sitting.

A series that continues to get better, with realistic characters and a really awesome plot. I recommend checking it out!

Rating:

4/5☆

Wolf Clash (New Dawn #4.5)
by Rachel M. Raithby
Genre: YA/NA Fantasy Romance
Release Date: August 4th 2019

Novella 4.5 Review

While war looms on the horizon, two powerful wolves fight a far more intimate war in this next installment of the New Dawn novels.

Logan’s childhood taught him love comes with the potential of pain. Long ago, he decided he’d never have a mate, but one explosive encounter with Mia—a woman as lethal as she is beautiful—has him questioning everything. There’s a problem. Her heart’s as closed off as his and winning her isn’t going to be easy.

River Run soldier Mia doesn’t allow men close, especially not those who hope to capture her heart. The last person she expects to find herself drawn to is a Dark Shadow wolf renowned for his playboy ways. Not only is he sexy, but he’s also charming—a dangerous combination. Getting close to Logan will end in heartbreak. But with Logan’s bold pursuit to win her difficult to ignore, there’s a clash coming.

Logan and Mia find themselves playing the most passionate of games and when everything comes to a head, they must decide if loves worth the risk.

Review:

I wanted this to be a full length novel, and now I’m really looking forward to another book in this series. Rachel M. Raithby did a really fantastic job creating more characters that feel real and a plot that was well paced in such a short amount of time.

Logan and Mia are great characters and their story is full of hope. I just didn’t want their story to end.

I recommend checking this series out. I think it’s important to read them in order because you’ll be able to appreciate characters and storylines that reappear. Check it out!
